I have personal story about a
starling. When I was 7 years old we were leaving Imos. My Dad almost stepped on
a baby starling. My mom ran into Imos to get a “to go box” and we scooped upped
the baby starling. I named the bird Lacy. We kept him in an antique bird cage
that was sitting on top of dresser. We put the Lacy in the antique bird cage.
Lacy got stronger and we started to train her by putting her on my finger and
drop my finger which makes her instinctively flap her wings. When she got good at flying
she would fly around my house. When we let her go free she flew away. But
that’s not the end of Lacy. The next morning my mom went outside and screamed
Lacy! She flew back and landed on my mom. This went on for 2 or more weeks and
finally she stopped we don’t she is dead we think she went off with some of her
bird friends.
